Game #17 vs Wests Jaguars

A really boggy field made for a slow game but no-one told our kids.  They made some magnificent full length of the field runs to score tries. The support play was equally as good.  The team's defence was generally solid but we leaked a few tries from dropped balls or turnovers.  We'll work on that at practice.  That said, our tackling was good and the forwards blew over the rucks nicely to make plenty of ball available. Well done team.

Game #9

Our second game of tackle and a great effort from the Axemen. Scored some good tries, but a great defensive effort particularly from Harvey Anderson won us the game and Harvey player of the day

Game #3

Great effort on defence from the Axemen after scoring some excellent tries in the first half. Ruby Treadwell scored two great tries as did Elijah Elia-Marurai who was our player of the day after a great allround effort on attack and defence. The team is looking good and looking forward to starting to tackle mid year.

Game #2

A good effort from the axemen with a couple of brilliant tries and some good running rugby. Billy Bouzoukis won player of the day after a great alround effort. This game was a big improvement from last week.

Game #1

Slow start to the game for us, it took us the first half to get organised which was when Poneke scored all their points. A much better second half from the axemen though with a great try scored by Ruby Treadwell who was our player of the day.
